Examples of Content Keywords on the Web

If you know the components of your product, you can use components to sell and market your products to your prospects in person, in literature, and online. Right?  Well sort of.  You should never sell the product’s components. People may be familiar with component keywords  like “raised toe bar”, but it is how “raised toe bar” helps and what it does – exercising your legs and adding circulation (advantage statements) for consumers that sells the product.

Clients want to know how they can use a product (advantage statements).  How your product makes a customer feel (sentiment statements) impacts purchasing decisions as well. You can provide valuable assistance to your client by selling the “advantages and sentiment” aspects of your product.  We will discuss this in the “advantages” and “sentiment” in future modules. Component keywords don’t sell but they lead you to the webpage and your webpage can tell your visitor how your product can help or be useful.

You can improve your click through rate by adding your component keywords to your web page, page titles, alt tags, permalink, headings, and meta description.

You are probably asking “why do I have to know component keywords for a given product or service?” You should develop an extensive list of component keywords that will be used on your website and marketing resources because people use them in internet searches. Component keywords can only be found by web crawlers if they are on your website.  You should be familiar with your product’s keywords in order to optimize your webpages for search engines.  Use the “Component Keywords – Development Tool”  to brainstorm and create an extensive list.  This information can also be used to train employees and improve customer interactions.

Developing a list of component keywords is an important step in marketing, sales, and creating keyword content for website development.  This process is a lot of work and dedication that your team will do.  Guess what? Your competition will be doing this also.

“Desire is the key to motivation, but it’s determination and commitment to an unrelenting pursuit of your goal – a commitment to excellence – that will enable you to attain the success you seek.”
